A quad house is a corner home in a block of four, with two floors, a private garden and usually a roof terrace. It sits between a bungalow and a villa: more space than an apartment, at a lower price than a detached villa.

You buy off plan here: the home is built after you sign the purchase contract. In Spain the builder must cover your stage payments during construction with a bank guarantee or insurance. Completion follows the municipal occupancy licence.
