The surroundings

Moraira is the coastal village of the municipality of Teulada, on the northern Costa Blanca between Calpe and Jávea. The village has a marina, an eighteenth-century castle on the beach, the beaches of El Portet and L'Ampolla and a weekly market. The coast is rocky with small coves, and the hills behind are covered with villas among the pine trees. Teulada, the main village, lies 5 km inland. The Marina Salud hospital is in Dénia, about 25 km away. Alicante airport is about 90 km away, Valencia airport about 120 km.
